The Croatian Dental Chamber (CDC), aiming to further develop dental medicine and call attention for the importance of oral health, organized last January, several important meetings: President of Croatia, Croatia Dental Chamber and visit to University of Zagreb School of Dental Medicine.
Once again, the FDI supports its members and its initiatives to promote oral health.

Meeting with the dean of the University of Zagreb School of Dental Medicine and with head of the departments

Troika meeting with the board of the Croatia Dental Chamber and representatives of the Bosnia Herzegovina and Slovenia.

I was invited to address our Croatian colleagues as president of the FDI. (To consult my speech below)

I was also happy to see the Portuguese Dental Association being honored by the president of the CDC, Hrvoje Pezo.
The President of the Republic managed to find time in his schedule, immediately before the referendum on EU accession, to hear about FDI’s projects and the state of oral health in Croatia and the projects currently being developed. Always with the purpose of advocating optimal oral health in Croatia. We also gave him a copy of the FDI Oral Health Atlas.
The President is a man passionate about music, being a musician and composer himself. Aware of this passion, I offered him Portuguese music, fado, World’s Intangible Cultural Heritage, through the voice of Camané, a famous Portuguese fado singer.
